Our help is not conditional
You do not need to share our beliefs, attend anything, or listen to anything in order to receive support from us. Assistance is never conditional on religious participation, and it is never withdrawn because of what someone believes.
If you ever feel pressured by anyone acting in our name, please tell us. That is not who we are, and we want to know.
Why we say this plainly
People sometimes hesitate to approach a Christian charity, in case help comes with strings attached. It does not. We would rather say so clearly than have someone go without because they were unsure.
Prayer and partnership
Prayer and partnership with churches are part of who we are, and we are open about that. They are an expression of our own faith, not an expectation placed on anyone we serve.
Safeguarding comes first
Where our practice could ever be in tension with someone's safety or dignity, safeguarding and ethical service take precedence. Always.
