Our story
Significant Impact exists because need is close to home, and because those closest to it are often best placed to respond.
We saw families going without essentials, young people without the support to learn, and people in crisis with nowhere obvious to turn. We also saw communities ready to help, and churches and partners willing to work together.
What we set out to address
Hunger and hardship that arrive suddenly and leave slowly. Barriers to education that compound over years. Isolation among older people, carers and single-parent families. The gap that opens when a crisis passes and recovery has barely begun.
What inspires us
Our Christian faith is the foundation of our compassion. We seek to reflect the love of Jesus Christ through practical service, integrity, humility and respect. Our support is available to people of every faith and none, without discrimination or pressure.
What we are working towards
Not dependence, but dignity. We measure ourselves by whether people are better able to shape their own future, not by how much we hand out.
