Our fundraising promise
Draft — awaiting legal review
This is what you can hold us to when we ask you for money.
We will be honest
We will describe our work truthfully. We will not exaggerate need, overstate our results, or use an image or a story in a way that misrepresents someone's life.
We will not pressure you
No guilt, no manufactured urgency, no hounding. Saying no is a perfectly good answer, and it will not change how we treat you.
We will respect your privacy
We will not sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will.
We will be clear about where your money goes
If you give to a specific appeal, it goes to that appeal. If you give where it is most needed, we will tell you what that turned out to mean.
We will treat everyone with respect
Including people who cannot give, and people who tell us no. Donors are not more important to us than the people we serve.
We will listen
If we get our fundraising wrong, tell us, and we will put it right.
