If you want to raise money for us, thank you. Here is how to do it in a way that is safe, honest and enjoyable.
Ideas
A sponsored activity
A run, a walk, a swim, a silence. Whatever people would pay to see you attempt.
A community event
A quiz, a coffee morning, a sale, a concert.
A birthday or celebration
Ask for gifts to go here instead. People are often glad to be asked.
At your church
A collection, a harvest appeal, a shared meal.
At work
A dress-down day, a bake-off, a matched-giving scheme.
Something else entirely
If it is safe and honest, we are interested.
Fundraising honestly
Whatever you do in our name, please be clear about what the money is for, never pressure anyone, and never suggest we have promised something we have not. Our fundraising promise sets out the standards we hold ourselves to, and we would ask you to hold to them too.
If you are fundraising in a public place, or involving children, please talk to us first — there are rules, and we would rather help you get them right than find out afterwards.
